What is blue3ds or bluecard

It is a new 3ds flashcart released by blue-3ds team, this card is used for playing 3ds games on your 3ds/3ds xl/new 3ds/new 3ds xl. Currently it is compatible with firmware V4.1-V9.2.  It also offer some nice features such as NAND back up and restore, retail game cart back up, emunand support, multi-rom support. More importantly, the official team also announced that the 3ds game cheat feature will be added in the next firmware update.

The blue3ds package is verrrry simple, just like a book, when  you open the book, the cards are inside, this is the simplest package i have ever seen.  Actually we don't care too much about the package, we care about the cards inside, as long as the simple package design can reduce the cost.

Blue3ds card booting method

As you can see my 3ds firmware is 4.2.0-9


Currently the bluecard firmware is V1.0, just download it from here: blue3ds firmware

After you download it,  extract and get all the files. including the files for blue card and white card.

There is a folder named  "DS Card (R4i)",  Get a micro sd card, copy and paste all the files from the "DS Card (R4i)" to the micro sd card root directly.

Then insert the micro sd card into the blue3ds blue card and then put it into the 3ds console, power on

you would see the icon below


just click the icon and start booting


Click the NVRAM installer


Click A to continue


Choose the correct region of your console and press A to continue


Press A to exit


Click Home button to go to the home screen

Setting up the sd card

Get a sd card, usually there is a one on the side of the 3ds console,  there is a folder named BC_1.0(Public Beta) in the bluecard firmware folder, click and open it, you will see the Launcher.dat file. just copy and paste it to the root of the sd card. then put the sd card back to the side of your 3ds console.

Booting into blue3ds mode

Currently your 3ds is on home screen, click the system settings


click other settings


click profile


click nintendo ds profile


Congratulations, you have come to the blue3ds mode

Play 3ds games with bluecard

Copy and paste some 3ds roms on your another micro sd card.  you can put as many as you want as long as your micro sd card is big enough. then put the micro sd card into the blue3ds white card and then insert it into your 3ds console

Press select button, the game list should show


just choose one game and press A , the game icon shoule show on the bottom screen


Enjoy your games.


It is very easy to use and set up this blue3ds card and it is also working great as described. For playing 3ds games on V4.1-V9.2 firmware, blue3ds card is the card you need.
